JDEP (Jurnal Dinamika Ekonomi Pembangunan) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur in collaboration with Asosiasi Program Studi Ekonomi Pembangunan Indonesia (APSEPI). Established in 2018, the journal publishes two issues annually, in January and July, and accepts manuscripts in English and Indonesian.
Focus and Scope
JDEP publishes research in development economics, with particular attention to the Indonesian economy. Its scope includes public and fiscal economics, monetary economics, regional development, behavioural and institutional economics, urban and rural economies, agricultural and industrial economics, cooperatives and small and medium enterprises, macroeconomics and microeconomics, development planning, international trade, and environmental and natural resource economics.
The journal welcomes empirical and theoretical contributions that provide a clear economic argument, use appropriate analytical methods, and explain their relevance to economic development and policy.
Peer Review and Editorial Independence
Research manuscripts undergo initial editorial assessment followed, where appropriate, by double-blind peer review involving at least two reviewers. The editorial office anonymises manuscript files before external review and removes reviewer identities from reports shared with authors.
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, methodological quality, relevance, and contribution. Publication charges, funding sources, and institutional relationships do not determine acceptance.
Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing
JDEP provides immediate open access to all published articles without subscription or access fees. Authors retain copyright and grant JDEP the right of first publication.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), which permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given, the licence is linked, and any changes are indicated. Third-party materials may carry separate conditions where specified.
Authors may deposit the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published version in repositories without an embargo. Deposited versions should be clearly identified and, following publication, include the article’s citation and DOI or permanent URL.
Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
JDEP follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to uphold originality, accurate reporting, confidentiality, appropriate attribution, and transparent disclosure of contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, and AI use.
Research involving human participants or identifiable personal information must comply with applicable ethical approval, informed consent, and confidentiality requirements. Suspected misconduct and post-publication concerns are assessed under the journal’s published policies.
